Upcoming iOS 28 Expected to Offer Significant Enhancements
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman anticipates that iOS 28 will introduce major updates compared to its predecessor, iOS 27, though specific details are currently unavailable.
As anticipation builds for the launch of iOS 27, expected next week, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has hinted at even greater changes in iOS 28. In his recent Power On newsletter, Gurman stated that the upcoming iOS 28 will be "far more significant" than the iOS 27 updates, although he did not disclose further specifics. The forthcoming iOS 28, codenamed "Bell," will notably debut on Apple's redesigned 20th-anniversary iPhone, anticipated for release in September next year. Meanwhile, iOS 27 is set to enhance Siri and introduce new features under the banner of Apple Intelligence, including a personalized Siri experience capable of understanding user context through information from Mail and Messages apps. Additionally, a dedicated Siri app will allow more interactive conversations, akin to chatbot technology. While the details on how iOS 28 will surpass its predecessor remain unclear, its unveiling is scheduled for WWDC 2027 next June.
