Ukraine Enhances Drone Tactics to Disrupt Russian Supply Routes

Ukrainian forces are reportedly escalating their campaign against Russian logistics by employing drones to drop mines along key supply corridors, particularly the Mariupol-Melitopol highway. This strategy is part of a broader effort to disrupt the transportation of supplies to the front lines.
Russian authorities have noted this tactic, with specific reports of mine-laying activity along the M-14 route. Following these incidents, parts of the highway were closed and heavy truck traffic redirected, indicating significant operational implications for Russian forces. Ukrainian Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov referred to this effort as a "logistical lockdown" aimed at hindering the movement of Russian supplies.
Open-source analysts have indicated that the technology used in these mine-dispersing drones includes motion-sensitive or magnetic fuses, capable of immobilizing vehicles. This can lead to traffic congestion and increased vulnerability for stranded vehicles.
