Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang Identifies $200 Billion Market with Vera CPU
Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang introduces the Vera CPU, targeting a new $200 billion market in agentic AI applications.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has unveiled the Vera CPU, a processor specifically designed for agentic AI applications, marking the company's entry into a new $200 billion market.
The Vera CPU, introduced in March, is engineered to deliver twice the efficiency and 50% faster performance compared to traditional CPUs.
Huang emphasized the significance of this development, stating, "Vera opens a brand new $200 billion TAM for Nvidia, a market we have never addressed before, and every major hyperscaler and system maker is partnering with us to deploy it."
The Vera CPU is designed to process tokens rapidly, distinguishing it from classic cloud architecture CPUs that focus on running multiple applications simultaneously.
Nvidia reports that it has already sold $20 billion worth of standalone Vera CPUs this year, indicating strong market demand.
Huang envisions a future with billions of AI agents utilizing tools akin to PCs, necessitating a substantial increase in CPU production to meet this demand.
