In response, Mrs. Trump took to social media, describing Kimmel's comments as "hateful and violent." She stated that his monologue about her family was not comedic but "corrosive" and deepened "the political sickness within America." She urged ABC, the network that airs Kimmel's show, to "take a stand" against such rhetoric.

President Donald Trump echoed his wife's sentiments, calling for Kimmel's immediate dismissal. He characterized the comedian's remarks as "beyond the pale" and suggested that both ABC and its parent company, Disney, should terminate Kimmel's employment.

This incident follows a previous controversy in September 2025, when Kimmel faced suspension after making comments about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. The suspension led to debates over free speech and media responsibility.

As of now, neither ABC nor Jimmy Kimmel has issued a public response to the Trumps' statements.
