Authorities have found human remains in Tampa Bay during the search for missing University of South Florida doctoral student Nahida Bristy, as court documents reveal the suspect's alleged use of ChatGPT to inquire about body disposal methods.

Human remains have been discovered in Tampa Bay during the search for missing University of South Florida doctoral student Nahida Bristy, authorities announced late Sunday. The remains were found in Pinellas County near Interstate 275 and 4th Street North, on the St. Petersburg side of the Howard Frankland Bridge. Identification is pending.

Bristy, 27, was reported missing last week along with fellow doctoral student Zamil Limon, also 27. Limon's remains were found Friday on the Howard Frankland Bridge. Their mutual acquaintance, 26-year-old Hisham Abugharbieh, has been arrested and charged with two counts of premeditated first-degree murder with a weapon. He is being held without bond.

Court documents reveal that Abugharbieh allegedly used ChatGPT to inquire about body disposal methods in the days leading up to the disappearances. On April 13, he reportedly asked the AI chatbot, "What happens if a human is put in a black garbage bag and thrown in a dumpster?" When ChatGPT responded that the scenario sounded dangerous, Abugharbieh allegedly followed up with, "How would they find out?"

An autopsy determined that Limon died from multiple sharp force injuries. Investigators found significant blood patterns in the apartment shared by Limon and Abugharbieh, including in the entry foyer, kitchen, hallway, and the suspect's bedroom. Abugharbieh is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
