Offset Released from Hospital After Florida Casino Shooting

Rapper Offset has been discharged from the hospital and is recovering after being shot outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, earlier this week. A spokesperson confirmed that Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, is "up and walking" and expressed gratitude to the medical staff for their care.

The incident occurred on Monday night following an altercation at the casino's valet area. Offset sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Authorities detained two individuals in connection with the incident. Rapper Lil Tjay, whose real name is Tione Jayden Merritt, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and operating a vehicle without a valid license. Merritt has denied any involvement in the shooting.

Offset, a former member of the influential hip-hop trio Migos, has faced previous tragedies, including the 2022 fatal shooting of his cousin and bandmate Takeoff.

The Seminole Police Department has stated that the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
