Rapper Offset Hospitalized After Shooting Outside Florida Casino
Offset, former member of Migos, was shot outside a Florida casino and is in stable condition; two individuals have been detained as police investigate.
Rapper Offset, formerly of the hip-hop trio Migos, was shot Monday evening outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. A spokesperson confirmed that Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, is in stable condition and receiving medical care at a local hospital.
The Seminole Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 7 p.m. in the casino's valet area. Two individuals have been detained in connection with the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities have assured the public that the site is secure and there is no ongoing threat.
Offset's hospitalization follows the 2022 fatal shooting of his cousin and fellow Migos member, Takeoff, in Houston. The group disbanded after Takeoff's death. Offset was previously married to rapper Cardi B; the couple, who have three children together, divorced in 2024.
