State of Decay 3 Alpha Playtests Scheduled for May

Undead Labs has announced that alpha playtests for State of Decay 3 will commence in May. The upcoming tests will introduce four-player cooperative gameplay, enhanced base-building mechanics, and new resource management strategies.

Brant Fitzgerald, co-creator of the franchise, emphasized the importance of community involvement in the game's development. He noted that the team has been attentive to player feedback from platforms like Discord and YouTube. Fitzgerald encouraged interested players to register for the alpha, mentioning that while initial slots are limited, there will be additional opportunities throughout the year.

State of Decay 3 was first announced in 2020, with subsequent updates being infrequent. The game is being developed for Xbox Series X/S and PC platforms.

Players can sign up for the alpha playtests on the official State of Decay website. Undead Labs has indicated that those not selected for the initial round will have further chances to participate as development progresses.
