Additionally, electric vehicle charging stations will be established within the premises and designated parking areas. Commissioner for Electricity and Renewable Energy, Eng. Innocent Luoga, stated that the project aims to serve as a model for other government institutions and the private sector, with plans to expand across the entire government city in Mtumba. This effort is expected to reduce electricity costs and enhance power reliability. UNDP Project Manager Aaron Cunningham expressed the agency's commitment to continue collaborating with the Ministry, highlighting previous successful joint projects, including the launch of a 10-year energy efficiency strategy in December 2024.
