Pakistan Denies Afghan Taliban's Claim of Hospital Strike in Kabul

Ամփոփում

Pakistan refutes Afghan Taliban's allegations of targeting a Kabul hospital, asserting that military operations focused solely on militant installations.

Pakistan has dismissed allegations by the Afghan Taliban that its forces targeted the Omid Addiction Treatment Hospital in Kabul, resulting in significant civilian casualties. The Pakistani Information Ministry clarified that the actual target was "Camp Phoenix," a military site located several kilometers from the hospital.

Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated, "This claim is entirely baseless," emphasizing that Pakistan's operations were "precise, deliberate, and professional," focusing exclusively on military and terrorist infrastructure. He added, "No hospital, no drug rehabilitation centre, and no civilian facility was targeted."

The Afghan Taliban had accused Pakistan of an airstrike on the hospital, claiming over 400 fatalities. However, Pakistan maintains that its actions were directed solely at military installations supporting terrorism.

In response to the escalating tensions, China has urged both nations to exercise restraint and ensure the safety of personnel in the region.

Pakistan's military operations, part of "Operation Ghazab lil-Haq," continue to target Afghan Taliban military posts and infrastructure, with reports of significant damage to militant hideouts and equipment.
