Arduino Introduces Ventuno Q Edge AI Platform for Robotics

सारांश

Arduino has unveiled the Ventuno Q, a new edge AI platform designed for robotics and intelligent machines, featuring a dual-brain architecture with Qualcomm's Dragonwing IQ-8 processor and an STM32H5 microcontroller.

Arduino has announced the launch of the Ventuno Q, an edge artificial intelligence (AI) platform tailored for robotics and intelligent machines.

The Ventuno Q features a dual-brain architecture, combining Qualcomm's Dragonwing IQ-8 series processor with an STM32H5 microcontroller. This design enables the platform to handle AI workloads, including generative AI tasks, while ensuring low-latency actuation and motor control.

Equipped with 16 gigabytes of memory and expandable storage up to 64 gigabytes, the Ventuno Q supports simultaneous inference and multitasking. It is designed to manage perception through cameras, decision-making via AI computation, and actuation through motors within a single system.

The primary processor runs Linux operating systems such as Ubuntu or Debian, while the microcontroller operates using the Zephyr OS-based Arduino core, ensuring precise device control within defined timing constraints.

Developers can utilize Arduino App Lab to build AI models within an integrated environment that supports Arduino sketches, Python scripts, local large language models, vision language models, automatic speech recognition, and gesture recognition. The platform also connects to Qualcomm AI Hub, allowing offline execution of trained AI models, and integrates with Edge Impulse Studio for building personalized AI models.

The Ventuno Q includes industrial input/output interfaces such as controller area network with flexible data rate (CAN-FD), pulse-width modulation (PWM), and high-speed general-purpose input/output (GPIO). It also supports robotics development environments based on ROS 2 and features MIPI camera serial interface (CSI) support for connecting multiple cameras, advanced audio and display capabilities, and 2.5-gigabit Ethernet connectivity.

Fabio Violante, Vice President and General Manager of Arduino at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., stated, "With Ventuno Q, AI can finally move from the cloud into the physical world. This platform enables building machines that perceive, decide, and act — all on a single board. Our goal is to make advanced robotics and edge AI accessible to every developer, educator, and innovator."

The Ventuno Q is scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2026 and will be available through the Arduino Store and official resellers, including DigiKey, Farnell, Macfos, Mouser, and RS.
