Ամփոփում

Recent US-Israeli airstrikes on Iran have led to significant civilian casualties and drawn international criticism, with calls for restraint and a return to diplomatic negotiations.

Recent US-Israeli airstrikes on Iran have resulted in significant civilian casualties and widespread destruction. The Iranian Red Crescent Society reported that approximately 10,000 civilian structures, including nearly 8,000 residential units and over 1,600 commercial properties, have been damaged. Additionally, several medical and educational facilities have been affected.

The Iranian Health Ministry stated that over 1,200 people have been killed since the conflict began on February 28, including 200 children and about 200 women. More than 10,000 civilians have been injured, with 1,400 women among them. The ministry also reported that nine hospitals are now out of service, and 14 ambulances have been destroyed.

International reactions have been swift. Swiss Defense Minister Martin Pfister condemned the attacks, stating that they constitute a violation of international law and calling for all parties to cease hostilities to protect civilians. French President Emmanuel Macron announced plans to visit Cyprus to meet with President Nikos Christodoulides, aiming to reinforce security in the eastern Mediterranean and contribute to de-escalation in the region.

The conflict has also had repercussions beyond Iran. An Israeli airstrike hit a hotel in central Beirut, Lebanon, resulting in at least four fatalities. In Dubai, missile debris caused the deaths of two civilians from Nepal and Bangladesh. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of two Pakistani nationals in Dubai due to missile debris, stating that diplomatic missions are in contact with Dubai authorities to provide assistance and facilitate the repatriation process.

In Norway, a loud explosion occurred at the US embassy in Oslo, causing minor damage but no injuries. Norwegian Justice Minister Astri Aas-Hansen stated that considerable resources have been deployed to investigate the incident, emphasizing that such acts are unacceptable and taken very seriously.

The situation remains volatile, with international leaders urging restraint and a return to diplomatic negotiations to prevent further escalation and civilian harm.
