Son of Norway's Crown Princess Charged with Rape and Sexual Assault
Marius Borg Høiby, son of Norway's Crown Princess, faces multiple charges of rape, sexual assault, and bodily harm after a ten-month investigation involving numerous alleged victims.
Marius Borg Høiby, the 28-year-old son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit and stepson of Crown Prince Haakon, has been charged with multiple counts of rape, sexual assault, and bodily harm following a ten-month investigation. The charges include one count of rape involving intercourse, two counts of rape without intercourse, four counts of sexual assault, and two counts of bodily harm. The investigation involves a 'double-digit' number of alleged victims, according to Oslo Police Attorney Andreas Kruszewski. Evidence was gathered from text messages, police searches, and witness testimonies. Defense attorney Petar Sekulic stated that Høiby is taking the accusations seriously but denies wrongdoing in most cases, particularly those concerning sexual abuse and violence. Høiby, who does not hold a formal title or public role, previously admitted to acts of violence toward his partner under the influence of alcohol and cocaine, citing psychological issues and long-term drug abuse.
