Israel Conducts Airstrikes on Iran and Beirut Amid Rising Tensions

Israel has initiated airstrikes targeting locations in Iran and Beirut, marking a significant escalation in regional hostilities. The Israeli military stated that the operations aimed at neutralizing threats posed by Hezbollah and Iran's military infrastructure. In Beirut, strikes focused on the southern suburb of Dahiyeh, an area identified by Israel as a Hezbollah stronghold. Lebanese authorities reported casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure.

In response to the escalating conflict, the United States has urged its citizens to evacuate the region. President Donald Trump emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating that the mission could extend for several weeks and highlighting the U.S.'s capability to sustain operations for a longer duration.

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the United States jointly condemned Iran's recent missile and drone attacks across the region, describing them as "indiscriminate and reckless" actions that threaten regional stability. The statement highlighted attacks in multiple countries, including Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has expressed concern over the potential targeting of civil nuclear power stations, warning that such actions could necessitate mass evacuations due to radiological risks. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi noted that, as of now, there is no indication that Iran's nuclear installations have been damaged.

The situation remains fluid, with international leaders calling for de-escalation and a return to diplomatic negotiations to prevent further deterioration of regional stability.
