Potential Display Design for Upcoming iPhone 18 Pro
Conflicting reports suggest varying designs for the iPhone 18 Pro's display, with potential changes to the Dynamic Island interface.
Recent reports present differing views on the anticipated display design of Apple's forthcoming iPhone 18 Pro. According to Wayne Ma of The Information, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max may feature a small hole cutout in the top-left corner to accommodate the front-facing camera, potentially eliminating the Dynamic Island interface. Developer Filip Vabroušek has created concept renders to visualize this design. Conversely, Ross Young of Counterpoint Research suggests that the iPhone 18 Pro will retain some visible Face ID components, resulting in a smaller Dynamic Island compared to previous models. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman also indicates that Apple plans to reduce the size of the Dynamic Island in at least some iPhone models launching next year. These differing reports highlight the uncertainty surrounding the final design of the iPhone 18 Pro's display. Additionally, Young's roadmap suggests that a truly uninterrupted display with no cutouts may not debut until 2030, indicating that a fully all-screen iPhone could be several years away.
