Dana Eden, co-creator of the Emmy-winning series 'Tehran,' was found dead in Athens at age 52 during filming of the show's fourth season.

Israeli producer Dana Eden, known for co-creating the Emmy-winning espionage series "Tehran," was found dead in her Athens hotel room on Sunday. She was 52.

Eden was in Greece overseeing the filming of the show's fourth season. Greek police indicated that initial evidence suggests she took her own life, with no suspicion of foul play.

In response to speculation, her production company, Donna and Shula Productions, stated that "rumors regarding a criminal or nationalistic-related death are not true and are unfounded."

Israel's Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar described Eden as "one of the most prominent and influential producers in the Israeli television industry," noting that she "brought our story to international stages with pride, talent and courage."

"Tehran" premiered in 2020 and follows a Mossad agent's mission in Iran. The series won the International Emmy Award for Best Drama in 2021.

Eden began her television production career in the 1990s, working on Israeli shows such as "Yom Haem" and "Magpie."

She is survived by her husband and three children.
