Telegram Founder Pavel Durov Plans to Distribute Estate Among Over 100 Children
Pavel Durov, founder and CEO of Telegram, plans to distribute his estate among his more than 100 children, including those from relationships and sperm donations, as revealed in a recent interview.
Pavel Durov, founder and CEO of Telegram, has stated his intention to allocate his estate among his more than 100 children. In an interview with French political magazine Le Point, Durov, 40, mentioned that his estate will be divided among his six children from relationships and others conceived through sperm donation. He emphasized equal rights for all his children to prevent disputes after his death. Durov disclosed on social media last year that he had fathered over 100 children through sperm donation over 15 years, following a doctor's suggestion. Bloomberg estimates Durov's net worth at $13.9 billion, though he considers such estimates theoretical, noting his liquid assets are much lower and originate from his 2013 bitcoin investments. He specified that his children will not access his fortune until 30 years from now, aiming for them to develop independence. Durov, residing in Dubai, expressed concerns about risks associated with his work, including defending freedoms, and desires to protect his children and ensure Telegram remains true to its values.
