Samsung to Unveil Galaxy S26 Series at February 25 Unpacked Event
Samsung has scheduled its Galaxy Unpacked event for February 25, 2026, in San Francisco, where it is expected to introduce the Galaxy S26 series.
Samsung has announced that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on February 25, 2026, in San Francisco, California. The event is anticipated to showcase the Galaxy S26 series, including the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra models. The live-streamed presentation is set to begin at 10 a.m. PST/1 p.m. EST.
The Galaxy S26 series is expected to feature several enhancements over its predecessors. Notably, Samsung has teased camera capabilities with features labeled "Closer," "Groove," and "Glow," suggesting improvements in zoom functionality, low-light performance, and overall image quality. These advancements are likely driven by artificial intelligence, aligning with Samsung's emphasis on AI integration in its devices.
In terms of design, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to include a "Privacy Display," a feature that allows users to control viewing angles for enhanced screen privacy. Additionally, the series may support Qi2 magnetic wireless charging, facilitating easier use of compatible chargers and accessories.
Samsung has also released the fourth beta version of One UI 8.5, its custom Android interface, ahead of the Galaxy S26 launch. This update introduces a "Direct Voicemail" feature, enabling users to send calls directly to voicemail and receive live transcriptions within the Phone app. The function operates entirely on-device and is independent of carrier services.
Pre-orders for the Galaxy S26 series are expected to commence shortly after the Unpacked event, with general availability projected for early to mid-March 2026. Samsung has not yet confirmed pricing details, but reports suggest that the company aims to maintain price points similar to the previous Galaxy S25 series, despite rising component costs.
The February 25 Unpacked event will be live-streamed on Samsung's official website and YouTube channel, allowing global audiences to view the unveiling of the company's latest flagship smartphones.
