Samsung to Unveil Galaxy S26 Series at February 25 Unpacked Event in San Francisco

Samsung has scheduled its Galaxy Unpacked event for February 25, 2026, in San Francisco, where it plans to unveil the Galaxy S26 series, comprising the S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. This marks a shift from the company's traditional late January launches, aligning with its focus on artificial intelligence advancements. A Samsung official noted that San Francisco has "emerged as the center of AI," making it an ideal venue for the event. The Galaxy S26 lineup is expected to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, with some regional models possibly incorporating Samsung's Exynos 2600 chip. These processors are anticipated to enhance performance, particularly in on-device AI processing. The Galaxy S26 Ultra may introduce a 'Privacy Display' that dims the screen when viewed from off-angles, protecting sensitive information from onlookers. Additionally, Samsung is reportedly integrating Perplexity's AI technology into its Bixby voice assistant, aiming to improve its ability to handle complex questions and real-time web searches. The Galaxy S26 series is also rumored to include Google's AI-powered Scam Detection feature, which identifies fraudulent communications in real time. Pre-orders for the new devices are expected to commence immediately after the Unpacked event, with retail availability projected for early March 2026.
