Powerball Jackpot Reaches $1.6 Billion After No Winner in Saturday's Drawing
The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $1.6 billion following Saturday's drawing without a grand prize winner.
The Powerball jackpot has surged to an estimated $1.6 billion after no ticket matched all six numbers in Saturday night's drawing. The winning numbers were 4, 5, 28, 52, 69, and the red Powerball 20. This marks the fourth-largest jackpot in Powerball history and the fifth-largest among U.S. lottery jackpots.
The next drawing is scheduled for Monday night. If a player wins the jackpot, they can choose between an annuitized prize estimated at $1.6 billion, paid over 30 years with annual increases of 5%, or a lump sum payment estimated at $735.3 million. Both options are before taxes.
While no one won the grand prize on Saturday, tickets sold in California, Florida, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, and Ohio matched all five white balls to win $1 million each. Additionally, 112 tickets won $50,000 prizes, and 22 tickets won $150,000 prizes.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million. Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET.
