Mozilla Appoints Anthony Enzor-DeMeo as CEO, Plans AI Integration in Firefox
Mozilla has named Anthony Enzor-DeMeo as its new CEO, with plans to evolve Firefox into an AI-integrated browser while reducing reliance on search revenue.
Mozilla has appointed Anthony Enzor-DeMeo as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding interim CEO Laura Chambers. Enzor-DeMeo, who previously served as General Manager of Firefox, aims to transform the browser into a modern AI-integrated platform.
"Firefox will remain our anchor. It will evolve into a modern AI browser and support a portfolio of new and trusted software additions," Enzor-DeMeo stated.
He emphasized that AI features should be optional and transparent, allowing users to easily disable them if desired.
Enzor-DeMeo also plans to diversify Mozilla's revenue streams beyond search, aiming to reduce the company's dependence on search-related income over the next three years.
Before joining Mozilla in late 2024, Enzor-DeMeo held executive roles at fintech firm Roofstock and furniture retailer Wayfair.
