SpaceX has successfully launched its 3,000th Starlink satellite of the year, marking a significant advancement in its global internet coverage initiative. The mission, designated Starlink 6-92, lifted off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center on December 8, 2025, at 5:26 p.m. EST. The Falcon 9 rocket, identified as booster B1067, completed its 32nd flight, setting a new record for the most flights by a single Falcon booster. Following stage separation, the booster achieved a precise landing on the 'Just Read the Instructions' droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. This launch contributes to SpaceX's goal of deploying 12,000 satellites to provide comprehensive global internet coverage. The company reports over five million users currently utilizing the Starlink service. Additionally, SpaceX is reportedly planning an initial public offering (IPO) in mid-to-late 2026, aiming to raise over $30 billion at a valuation of approximately $1.5 trillion. This move would position SpaceX among the most valuable companies globally. The IPO is expected to support the development of space-based data centers and further expansion of the Starlink network.
