Cincinnati Bengals capitalize on two interceptions by Aaron Rodgers to take a 17-10 halftime lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Cincinnati Bengals have taken a 17-10 lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers at halftime, capitalizing on two interceptions thrown by Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Pittsburgh initially led 10-0, with tight end Jonnu Smith catching a 10-yard touchdown pass from Rodgers and kicker Chris Boswell adding a 41-yard field goal. However, the momentum shifted when Bengals safety Jordan Battle intercepted a pass intended for wide receiver DK Metcalf, leading to a quick three-play, 76-yard touchdown drive. Shortly after, cornerback DJ Turner made a spectacular interception, setting up kicker Evan McPherson's 49-yard field goal as the half concluded.
Rodgers completed 13 of 19 passes for 118 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions. Metcalf recorded two receptions for 45 yards, while running back Jaylen Warren contributed eight carries for 45 yards.
On the Bengals' side, quarterback Joe Flacco, who joined the team just over a week ago, completed 14 of 21 passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase led with seven catches for 61 yards and a touchdown, and Tee Higgins added 54 yards and a touchdown on three receptions. Running back Chase Brown rushed for 74 yards on five carries.
The Bengals, aiming to end a four-game losing streak, will receive the second-half kickoff.
