Apple Releases iOS 26.1 Beta 3 with Expanded Language Support and UI Enhancements

Apple has released the third developer beta of iOS 26.1, marking a significant update to its operating system. This version introduces expanded language support for Apple Intelligence, now accommodating Chinese (Traditional), Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese (Portugal), Swedish, Turkish, and Vietnamese. Additionally, AirPods Live Translation has been updated to include Chinese (Mandarin Simplified and Traditional), Italian, Japanese, and Korean.

User interface enhancements are also part of this update. The Phone app's numpad now features the Liquid Glass design, aligning it with the overall aesthetic of iOS 26. The Photos app has improved legibility with frosted backgrounds for the video scrubber and navigation bar. In the Music app, users can now swipe left and right on the Now Playing bar to switch between songs, enhancing navigation.

The Calendar app has been refined to display event background colors in full width, providing a cleaner visual experience.

Apple is expected to release iOS 26.1 to the public by the end of October or early November.
