Dolly Parton Postpones Las Vegas Residency Due to Health Concerns

Summary

Country music icon Dolly Parton has postponed her upcoming Las Vegas residency to September 2026, citing health challenges requiring medical procedures.

Country music legend Dolly Parton has announced the postponement of her upcoming Las Vegas residency, originally scheduled for December 2025, due to health challenges requiring medical procedures. The performances at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace have been rescheduled to September 2026.

In a statement shared on social media, Parton, 79, explained that her doctors advised her to undergo several procedures, which would prevent her from adequately preparing for the shows. She humorously referred to the situation as her "100,000-mile check-up," clarifying that it was "not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon."

Parton emphasized her commitment to delivering high-quality performances, stating that she would not be able to rehearse and put together the show that fans deserve. She reassured her audience that she has no plans to retire, noting that "God hasn't said anything about stopping yet," but acknowledged the need to slow down temporarily to focus on her health.

Earlier in September, Parton missed an event at her Dollywood theme park due to complications from a kidney stone that led to an infection. Doctors advised her against traveling at that time.

Fans who purchased tickets for the original December dates can use them for the rescheduled shows in September 2026 or request refunds if preferred.

Parton expressed gratitude for the understanding and support from her fans, assuring them that she looks forward to returning to the stage once she has fully recovered.
