Dolphins' Tyreek Hill Hospitalized After Dislocating Left Knee in Win Over Jets
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill suffered a dislocated left knee during Monday night's game against the New York Jets and was hospitalized for further evaluation.
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill sustained a dislocated left knee during Monday night's game against the New York Jets. The injury occurred in the third quarter when Hill made a catch near the sideline and his knee twisted severely as he was tackled. Medical personnel applied an air cast to his leg before he was carted off the field and transported to a nearby hospital for imaging and observation.
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel confirmed the diagnosis, stating that Hill would remain hospitalized overnight. Despite the injury, Hill remained in high spirits, encouraging his teammates to secure the win. McDaniel noted, "He was probably in the best spirits of any player that I’ve ever seen (have) such a terrible experience." Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa added, "Our thoughts and our prayers are with him."
Hill, a five-time All-Pro selection and Super Bowl champion, had six receptions in the game before his injury. The Dolphins secured their first win of the season, defeating the Jets 27-21. Further updates on Hill's condition are expected following additional evaluations.
