Bad Bunny to Headline 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show

Summary

Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny has been announced as the headliner for the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny has been announced as the headliner for the 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show, set to take place at San Francisco's Levi's Stadium on February 8, 2026. The announcement was made during the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys game.

Expressing his sentiments, Bad Bunny stated, "What I'm feeling goes beyond myself. It's for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown... this is for my people, my culture and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL."

The selection of Bad Bunny as the halftime performer is part of Jay-Z's Roc Nation's efforts in organizing the event. This performance will follow Kendrick Lamar's headline act at Super Bowl LIX, which received 125 FCC complaints.

Following the Super Bowl, Bad Bunny is scheduled to embark on his "Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour," marking his first performances in Australia. The tour will commence on November 21, 2025, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and will include multiple shows across Latin America, Asia, and Europe, concluding on July 22, 2026, in Brussels, Belgium.

Other artists considered for the 2026 halftime show included Metallica and Taylor Swift. Metallica's drummer, Lars Ulrich, expressed interest, stating, "First of all, we would do it. Second of all to do it in San Francisco would be a dream come true and would be the right fit..." NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell also extended an open invitation to Taylor Swift, noting, "We would always love to have Taylor play. She is a special, special talent and obviously, she would be welcome at any time."
