Harry Kane extends Bayern Munich contract until 2029

England captain Harry Kane has agreed a new contract with Bayern Munich that will keep him at the German club until 2029, the club announced. Kane joined Bayern from Tottenham in 2023 for a reported €100 million fee and has scored 156 goals in 161 competitive matches, helping the team win two Bundesliga championships and a DFB Cup.

The 33-year-old was named the world’s best male player after scoring 89 goals for club and country since August 2025, becoming the first Englishman to win the Ballon d’Or in 25 years and the first Bayern player to receive the award since 1981.

"I feel right at home at FC Bayern. I love the club, the fans and the city of Munich. We have a fantastic team and, in Vincent Kompany, a fantastic manager. It makes me very proud to be part of this club. My whole family is very happy here. I was keen to stay. I’m now looking forward to the future and I want to win many more titles with this great club," Kane said.

In September, Kane became the fastest player in German history to reach 100 Bundesliga goals, doing so in 98 games, surpassing the previous record set in 1977. Bayern did not disclose the financial terms of the extension, though German media described it as the most lucrative contract in the club’s history.

"We all benefit from his qualities as a player and as a person, day in, day out.
