Ամփոփում

A Powerball ticket sold in New Jersey matched all six numbers, securing an $847 million jackpot, the ninth-largest in the game’s history.

A Powerball ticket purchased in New Jersey matched all six winning numbers in Wednesday’s drawing, awarding an $847 million jackpot. The cash option for the prize is estimated at $363.1 million, while the annuity would be paid in 30 installments over 29 years, with amounts increasing each year. Both options are before taxes.

The winning numbers were white balls 15, 34, 41, 53 and 56, with the red Powerball 21, and the Power Play multiplier was 2X. The win ends a streak of 35 consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner and will reset the jackpot to $20 million for the next drawing on Saturday.

"Back-to-back jackpot runs resulting in prizes of this magnitude are a testament to the excitement Powerball generates," said Stephen Durrell, chair of the Powerball Product Group and executive director of the Kansas Lottery. "We’re thrilled to celebrate another win and congratulate the lucky ticket holder," Durrell added.

Powerball has not disclosed the winner’s identity or the specific location of the ticket sale, noting that New Jersey law permits lottery winners to remain anonymous. Four additional tickets matched the five white balls and earned secondary prizes.
