Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra renders show camera module moved upward and possible built-in Qi2 magnets

Resumen

CAD-based renders of Samsung Electronics' upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra suggest a higher-placed camera module, a reduced lens count and space for integrated Qi2 magnetic charging, though specifications remain unconfirmed.

Samsung Electronics' next flagship, the Galaxy S27 Ultra, is expected to launch early next year. New CAD-based renders released by Android Headlines show the rear camera module shifted upward and the number of lenses reduced to three: a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide and a 50-megapixel telephoto with 5× optical zoom. The change could free space for built-in Qi2 magnetic charging, addressing criticism of the S26 Ultra’s large camera bump that interfered with magnetic accessories.

The device’s dimensions in the renders—163.76 × 78.25 × 7.97 mm—are virtually identical to the current S26 Ultra, making the overall silhouette hard to distinguish. The S Pen storage slot remains at the lower left, while the bottom houses the speaker, USB-C port and SIM tray. Power and volume buttons are positioned on the right side, with the power button below the volume button.

Projected specifications, compiled from the renders and foreign media reports, include a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, LPDDR6 memory, UFS 5.0 storage, and a battery capacity between 5,500 mAh and 5,700 mAh. Wired charging is expected to stay at 65 W, with wireless charging projected at 25 W and possible integration of Qi2 magnets. Prices are estimated at around $1,399 for the Ultra model.

Analysts note that integrating magnets could simplify accessory use by eliminating the need for a magnetic case, but the final design may differ from the renders, and confirmation will come with the official launch.
