Melissa Rycroft Strickland, known from "The Bachelor" and "Dancing with the Stars," posted on Instagram about her mental-health struggles and announced she is pursuing professional care following a second DWI arrest in Texas.

Melissa Rycroft Strickland, 43, posted on Instagram on Nov. 3 to acknowledge a recent arrest on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and to discuss her ongoing mental-health challenges. She said she had hidden her struggles from family and is now seeking professional assistance.

"No excuses at all, but I'm finally admitting that I need help," she wrote.

The arrest occurred in Southlake, Texas, on Nov. 1 after police said she allegedly collided with an ambulance stopped at a stop sign and fled the scene. Officers later located her without any reported injuries. She faces charges of second-offense DWI, property damage exceeding $200, and driving with an invalid license.

Rycroft Strickland previously faced a DWI charge in September 2025, also in Southlake. In her Instagram statement she asked for understanding while she focuses on recovery and requested privacy for her family.

The reality-television personality first appeared on Season 13 of "The Bachelor" and later competed on "Dancing with the Stars," winning the all-star season in 2012 with partner Tony Dovolani.
