Eagles to start Joe Milton at quarterback for Week 9

सारांश

Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni has decided to start backup quarterback Joe Milton against the New York Giants after the team lost three straight games with Tanner McKee under center.

Philadelphia head coach Nick Sirianni announced a change at quarterback for the team's Week 9 matchup with the New York Giants, opting to start Joe Milton. The decision follows three consecutive losses with Tanner McKee starting after starter Jalen Hurts was placed on injured reserve.

Milton, who was signed from the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad after Hurts went down, has not yet played for Philadelphia. In his previous NFL experience, he appeared in five games for the New England Patriots and the Cowboys over the past two seasons, completing 37 of 53 passes for 424 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, and adding 66 rushing yards with one rushing score.

"We think Joe gives us the best chance to compete this week," Sirianni said, according to the report.

The move comes as the Eagles seek to halt their losing streak and regain momentum heading into the latter part of the season.
