Stepdaughter of Sam Wood Seen in Melbourne Amid Ongoing Legal Proceedings

Resumen

Eve Markoski-Wood, 21, was observed leaving a Melbourne supermarket, marking her first public appearance since Sam Wood's arrest on domestic-violence charges, while the former reality-TV personality continues to contest bail.

Eve Markoski-Wood, the 21-year-old daughter of Snezana Wood, was spotted exiting a Woolworths store in Melbourne earlier this week accompanied by one of her younger sisters. The appearance comes as Sam Wood, who was arrested on October 4 in Queensland on assault and strangulation allegations involving his wife, has filed a Court of Appeal application challenging his continued detention.

Wood, a former participant in a reality-television series, has been denied bail twice and remains at Wolston Correctional Centre near Brisbane. At a recent Brisbane Supreme Court hearing, Justice Patrick McCafferty noted additional police statements about the incident, indicating that an argument began with a witness rather than Ms Wood and that Wood had consumed several drinks before the dispute escalated.

Barrister Paula Morreau KC argued that Wood possesses self-control and a willingness to avoid confrontation, suggesting that his alleged conduct, while serious, does not match the severity of other domestic-violence cases where bail was granted. Wood’s legal team plans to contend that the length of his pre-trial detention has not been properly considered.

"He has the capacity for self-control and willingness to avoid confrontation," Morreau said.

Wood has requested an urgent hearing before the Court of Appeal, though a date has not yet been set. The case remains under investigation, and authorities continue to monitor developments.
