Billy Evans discusses documentary and partnership with Elizabeth Holmes in AMA
Elizabeth Holmes' partner Billy Evans participated in an AMA on X, addressing questions about the documentary "You Can See Everything" and his role in Holmes' affairs.
Billy Evans, who is both the romantic partner and business associate of former Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes, opened an "Ask Me Anything" session on X after the release of the documentary You Can See Everything. In the live Q&A, Evans responded to inquiries about the film’s portrayal of their relationship, his legal authority over Holmes, and various personal details.
Evans rejected the idea that he controls Holmes, stating that anyone who knows her would find the notion "hilarious" and describing her as "fiercely independent, strong-willed, and my best friend." He emphasized that they are partners in all respects and that any mistreatment would be noticed by their shared circle of friends.
When asked whether he had ever lied, Evans answered simply, "Yes." He also explained that a scene showing him sniffing in the documentary was due to colds and allergies from his children, and dismissed claims that a nude shower scene was filmed without his consent as a "false narrative."
Regarding rumors that he negotiated a profit share from the film, Evans replied briefly, "Lmao, the house this was at was a single story. All you need to know," noting that both he and Holmes ultimately relinquished any cut before the documentary’s release.
Evans also addressed his power of attorney for Holmes, confirming that it allowed him to manage her X account with her knowledge and consent. He said the arrangement was a legal mechanism for acting on her behalf while she is incarcerated, not a means to bypass her approval.
