Country Singer Nicole Taylor of Taylor Red Dies at 35 After Cancer Battle

Resumen

Nicole Taylor, a member of the country trio Taylor Red, died at age 35 following a battle with breast cancer, her sisters announced.

Nicole Taylor, a vocalist in the country music group Taylor Red, died on Sept. 28 at her Nashville home at the age of 35, according to a memorial page created by her family. Taylor had been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2022, which later progressed to stage 4. Her sisters and bandmates, Nika and Natalie Taylor, shared the news in a TikTok post.

"We’re heartbroken to announce the passing of our sister, Nicole Taylor," Nika said.

"It was an aggressive type of cancer. In her words, when she first found out, were, ‘God’s gonna use this for his glory,’" Natalie added. "She fought it fearlessly, and she said, ‘We’re not going to live in dread during all of this.’"

The sisters noted that Nicole continued to exercise, including CrossFit, while undergoing chemotherapy and was at one point declared free of detectable disease. However, doctors later informed her that the cancer had returned as stage 4, giving her an estimated three-month life expectancy. Nicole lived approximately a year beyond that prognosis, according to her family.

"She said she had so much peace, and we’re really thankful for that," Natalie said.

The family expressed their ongoing grief while emphasizing Nicole’s desire to share her experience to help others.
