Toronto overcame a 12-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the visiting Los Angeles Clippers 125-118, improving to 4-3 on the season.

The Toronto Raptors erased a 12-point gap in the final six minutes to secure a 125-118 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night in Los Angeles. The win moved the Raptors to 4-3 overall and 1-1 on their current road stretch.

Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley, who finished with a game-high 27 points, said the team had to rely on defense, rebounding and ball control to turn the game around. > "Sometimes the game is just not going your way, and you’ve to make it go your way with defence, with stops, with rebounding, taking care of the ball," Quickley said.

Scottie Barnes contributed 22 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists, while RJ Barrett added 26 points. The Raptors forced six Clippers turnovers and limited Los Angeles to 30 percent shooting in the fourth quarter.

Los Angeles, missing Kawhi Leonard, who is undergoing treatment for a swollen left knee, and center Jakob Poeltl, fell to 1-6 on the season. Leonard was not present at the game and is expected to be sidelined for at least two weeks.

Clippers fans in the plaza outside the Intuit Dome exchanged Leonard jerseys for those of other players, reflecting the recent controversy surrounding the former star’s departure and the NBA’s investigation into the team’s salary-cap practices.
