Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell suffered a neck injury during the team's Week 8 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. The team confirmed that he remains in a local hospital for observation, noting that preliminary indications are positive but declining to release further medical information.

At a press conference on Monday, Nov. 2, head coach Dan Campbell said the news about Campbell's condition was "positive" and encouraged fans to continue praying for his recovery. He declined to share additional details, stating, "I can't, so I'm not going to."

Campbell visited the hospital with several teammates and spoke with his family. Campbell said the atmosphere was upbeat, describing the situation as a "small setback" and emphasizing the family's positive outlook.

When asked about Campbell's role on the team, Campbell praised the linebacker, noting, "He's trustworthy, he's dependable. He'd give you the shirt off his back. He's just all heart, all effort. He's an unbelievable person, down to earth and very genuine. There's not a man on this team that doesn't respect Jack Campbell and care about him."

The Lions previously reported that Campbell was being evaluated after a collision with Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson that resulted in a helmet impact to the hip. He received on-field treatment before being taken to the hospital for further assessment.
