A single-vehicle collision on Watson Road South early Saturday killed four teenagers and injured two others, prompting condolences and support offers from the Peel District School Board.

The Peel District School Board expressed deep sadness after a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Puslinch, Ontario, killed four teenagers aged 15 to 19. Officials confirmed that one of the deceased was a current student of the board and two were former students.

"We are deeply saddened by the deaths of four young people in this collision, including one current and two former Peel District School Board students," the board said in a statement to CTV News.

Police reported that the vehicle traveling on Watson Road South struck a guard rail at about 1:35 a.m. and fell into a ravine. Six occupants were in the car; four were pronounced dead at the scene. The victims were identified as a 19-year-old man from Mississauga, a 19-year-old man from Brampton, a 17-year-old girl from Mississauga and a 15-year-old girl from Milton.

Two other teenagers, both from Mississauga, survived with injuries: a 17-year-old girl remains hospitalized with life-altering injuries, and a 16-year-old girl sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

"Four young people have lost their lives, in a matter of moments. Families have been forever changed, and an entire community is searching for answers," said Insp. Karen Medeiros of the Wellington County OPP, adding that investigators will continue to gather evidence.

The OPP is still investigating the cause of the crash and has asked anyone with information or dash-cam footage to contact the Wellington County detachment.
