Police search for suspects after stabbing at Chandler's Ford Halloween party
Five teenage boys were seriously injured in a stabbing at a Halloween party in Chandler's Ford, prompting a police investigation to locate the attackers.
Police are searching for individuals who stabbed five teenage boys during a Halloween party in Chandler's Ford, Hampshire. Officers responded to calls shortly after 22:30 GMT on Saturday after an unknown group entered the event through a garden fence.
Three 16-year-olds and two 17-year-olds were taken to hospital with serious injuries. Barton Peveril Sixth Form College confirmed that two of the victims are current students, while Thornden Secondary School said former pupils were also among those hurt.
"I was standing in the hallway near the exit and I saw someone I know pull up their shirt and say 'I've been stabbed'. And then I later saw him lying outside the front of the house with someone compressing his wound," one teenager told the BBC.
"A big group of people started shouting and then a fight broke out and then we just heard the dad tell everyone to leave. And that was when we saw someone injured on the floor," another witness said.
Local officials expressed concern. Eastleigh MP Liz Jarvis said the community was in shock and urged residents to avoid spreading misinformation online while police continue their investigation. Detective Chief Inspector Elizabeth Pirie said officers are tracing partygoers and seeking any video footage that could help identify the attackers.
Both schools issued statements offering support to students and families affected by the incident.
