James Acaster says key moments were cut from BBC's Celebrity Traitors

Resumen

The comedian revealed that a confrontation with contestant Ms Hall and much of his round-table commentary were omitted from the broadcast version of Celebrity Traitors.

James Acaster told Alan Carr's Life's a Beach podcast that the final edit of BBC's Celebrity Traitors left out several notable scenes. He said a confrontation in which Ms Hall directly accused him of being a traitor was removed, and that he responded by looking her in the eye and saying, "I think it might be me as well, Jerry!". Ms Hall allegedly replied, "You're very sneaky," before walking away.

Acaster added that his contributions during the round-table discussions were also heavily trimmed. While Mr Carr said he was "so scared" that he barely spoke, Acaster claimed he spoke much more, noting that the producers often edit out comments to keep voting outcomes hidden.

The comedian's exit from the show occurred during the semi-final, when he announced he had been "made a Traitor without wanting to be" and described himself as a "reluctant traitor". The series finale saw Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian "Bash" Croft win, each donating £41,500 to their chosen charities, Choose Love and the Refugee Council.

Comments about the charities sparked debate, with some observers questioning whether winnings from a licence-fee-funded BBC programme should go to charities focused on British recipients.
