TV personality Melissa Rycroft arrested on suspicion of DWI in Texas
Melissa Rycroft, known for "The Bachelor" and "Dancing With the Stars," was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and faces additional charges related to a prior conviction.
Melissa Rycroft, a television host and former winner of "Dancing With the Stars," was arrested on Sunday in Texas on suspicion of second-degree driving while intoxicated. The arrest, made by the Southlake Police Department, also includes charges of driving with a prior conviction or suspension without financial responsibility and causing a vehicle collision resulting in damage of at least $200.
The incident follows a September 2025 DWI arrest for which Rycroft pleaded guilty in August, receiving a 20-month probation sentence, a $2,000 fine and additional court fees. Bail for the current case was set at $9,000, and she remains in custody at the Tarrant County Corrections Center in Fort Worth.
"I want to remind the public of the fundamental principle of our justice system… every individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty," said her attorney Bret Martin when asked about the earlier case.
Rycroft’s legal representative declined to comment on the new arrest, and the Tarrant County Police Department did not respond to requests for comment.
