Samsung to Add Upgraded Privacy Display and Brighter Screens to Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra

Summary

Samsung confirmed that its upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro and S27 Ultra will feature an enhanced Privacy Display and higher screen brightness, while the standard S27 models will not include the privacy feature.

Samsung announced that its forthcoming Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra will incorporate an upgraded version of the Privacy Display technology first seen on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The enhancement will be the first instance of the feature appearing on a non-Ultra model in the company's flagship line.

Both devices are also slated to offer increased display brightness, improving readability in direct sunlight. The standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ are expected to omit the Privacy Display, indicating Samsung's focus on its top-tier models for the feature.

Earlier specifications suggest the S27 Pro and S27 Ultra will be equipped with a 200-megapixel primary rear sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens with autofocus, and a 16-megapixel front camera. The Pro variant may include a 10-megapixel or 12-megapixel telephoto lens, while the Ultra is projected to have a 50-megapixel telephoto lens offering 5× optical zoom.
