Honda reports 13% year-on-year rise in October two-wheel sales, driven by domestic demand and exports
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India posted a 12.91% increase in total two-wheel sales in October 2026, reaching 734,566 units, with domestic sales up 11% and exports up 35% year over year.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) said its total two-wheel sales for October 2026 reached 734,566 units, a 12.91% increase from the same month a year earlier. Domestic shipments rose to 664,831 units, marking an 11% year-on-year gain, while exports climbed to 69,735 units, up 35.03%.
The company attributed the growth to strong festive-season demand and a product portfolio supported by a network of more than 7,000 sales touchpoints. Compared with September 2026, total sales rose 4.01% to the October level.
HMSI’s October volume narrowly outpaced rival Hero MotoCorp, with Honda delivering 163 more units overall. However, Hero retained a lead in the domestic market, selling 705,084 units versus Honda’s 664,831.
For the April–October period of the fiscal year 2026-27, Honda recorded cumulative sales of 4,174,638 units, a 14.56% rise from the comparable period in the previous year. Domestic sales for that span grew 13.04% to 3,708,903 units, while exports increased 28.24% to 465,735 units.
