Linebacker Jack Campbell was hospitalized following a neck injury sustained during a game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Detroit Lions linebacker Jack Campbell was taken to the hospital for treatment of a neck injury sustained during an NFL game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. The injury occurred in the third quarter when Campbell's head struck tight end TJ Hockenson during a tackle, leaving him face down on the field as medical personnel quickly responded.

Campbell, 26, was placed on a stretcher and carted off the field to applause from teammates and coaching staff who surrounded him during the incident. The Lions confirmed that he was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell expressed concern, stating, "Thoughts and prayers are with Jack and his family. He's being taken care of, we don't have any new information. We're thinking about him."

Drafted by the Lions as the 18th overall pick in 2023, Campbell signed a contract extension in May that runs through the 2030 season. He was an All-Pro selection last season, becoming the first NFL player in seven years to achieve over 150 tackles along with at least five sacks and three forced fumbles. The Lions won the game 19-15, despite two of Campbell's teammates also suffering concussions during the match.
