A fatal collision occurred in Puslinch, Ontario, early Saturday morning, resulting in the deaths of four young occupants. The Ontario Provincial Police reported that a vehicle struck a guard rail along Watson Road South and fell into a ravine around 1:35 a.m.
Among the deceased are a 19-year-old man from Mississauga, a 19-year-old man from Brampton, a 17-year-old girl from Mississauga, and a 15-year-old girl from Milton. Inspector Karen Medeiros of Wellington County OPP described the incident as an “unimaginable loss,” emphasizing the profound impact on families and the community. She stated, “Our responsibility is to ensure those answers are based on evidence, facts and a thorough investigation.”
The investigation is considering the number of passengers in the vehicle, with Medeiros noting, “I don’t believe that this vehicle had enough seatbelts for the amount of occupants who were in the vehicle at that time.” Authorities are currently assessing all evidence, including speed and seat belt use, to determine the cause of the collision.
The OPP is urging anyone with information or video footage from the area around 1:30 a.m. to contact the Wellington County detachment, as even seemingly insignificant details could assist in the investigation. Maltby Road East remains closed due to damage from the crash, with OPP prioritizing the safety of other motorists.
