Heidi Klum's Gruesome Severed Hand Costume Stuns at Halloween Party

Heidi Klum transformed into a giant, gruesome severed hand for her annual Halloween party in New York, celebrating 25 years of hosting the event. The costume left her nearly unrecognizable, with only her eyes and mouth visible, while blood dripped from her mouth as she posed with her tongue out. The top of the hand featured a disturbing array of dangling ligaments and tendons, complemented by helpers dressed in blood-stained hazmat suits.

The concept for the costume originated last year when Klum looked at her own hand and thought, "Hey, I think I could fit my body in this somehow." The costume included details such as long red nails, a thumb ring, and her engagement and wedding rings. Klum, who went viral in 2022 for her slithering worm costume, has previously donned outfits like Medusa, a peacock, and a multiarmed goddess.

Klum reported that it took about five to six hours to get into the costume, with the creation process taking significantly longer. She shared glimpses of her transformation on Instagram, showcasing the application of bloodied prosthetics. "Hands down, the hardest thing is carrying it," she noted, referring to the costume's weight. Although her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, was on tour and unable to attend, she included a tattoo of his name on her ring finger as a personal touch, stating, "A little bit of Tom is with me."
