A 64-year-old Sacramento man was arrested after allegedly firing shots into the lobby of ABC10's offices on Friday afternoon. The suspect, identified as Anibal Hernandezsantana, was taken into custody at a residence in the River Park neighborhood after investigators linked him to a vehicle associated with the incident.
Hernandezsantana faces charges including assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into an occupied building, and negligent discharge of a firearm. He was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail with bail set at $200,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
The shooting occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the ABC10 building on Broadway. Three bullet holes were found in a lobby window; however, no injuries were reported. The motive remains under investigation.
This incident followed protests outside the station the previous day, related to ABC's suspension of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" ABC10 is an affiliate owned by Tegna.
