Apple Introduces Touch-Optimized MacBook Pro and macOS 27 Features
Apple has launched its new MacBook Pro featuring a touch display and announced enhancements to macOS 27, designed to improve user interaction.
Apple has unveiled its latest MacBook Pro, which is equipped with a PROLED XDR display and marks the company's first foray into touch-enabled laptops. Alongside this release, several new features for macOS 27 Golden Gate have been introduced to enhance the touch experience.
Notable updates include enlarged traffic light icons in app windows, making them easier to tap. Users can now perform trackpad gestures directly on the touchscreen, such as three-finger swipes for mission control and pinching to zoom. Additionally, app developers will benefit from the ability to navigate the iOS simulator using touch, eliminating the need for trackpad gestures.
Context menus have also been optimized, with items appearing larger for touch interaction. Apple has indicated that these enhancements are just the beginning, with more touch optimizations expected in future updates, particularly at the next WWDC.
