Savannah Chrisley addresses criticism after revealing engagement, marriage and pregnancy to convicted fraudster Jason Galanis

Resumen

Reality TV star Savannah Chrisley posted a reflective Instagram message following a week of headlines about her engagement, secret wedding and pregnancy with Jason Galanis, a man whose prison sentence was commuted by President Donald Trump.

Savannah Chrisley, 29, used an Instagram Story on Saturday to respond to criticism surrounding her recent public announcements of an engagement, a secret marriage and a pregnancy. She described the past week as a “whirlwind” and noted that “the world can be so incredibly cruel.”

The reality-TV alum first disclosed her pregnancy and engagement in an Instagram video on Tuesday. Subsequent reporting identified her fiancé as Jason Galanis, 56, a convicted fraudster whose prison sentence was commuted by President Donald Trump in March 2025. It was also revealed that the couple were married on July 14 at a Baptist church in the Cayman Islands, a ceremony that had not been disclosed publicly.

“People can be quick to judge, quick to condemn, and slow to show grace,” Chrisley wrote. “But as I sit here looking out at God’s beautiful creation, I’m reminded of something so much greater than the noise around me …”

“The world may try to steal your peace, but it can never take away what God has promised you,” she added.

“I’ve learned that you don’t have to defend what God has already ordained. You don’t have to fight every battle, answer every accusation, or convince the world of what God already knows to be true.”

“Sometimes the greatest act of faith is simply being still, choosing love when you’re met with hate, extending grace when none is given, and trusting that Jesus is working even in the moments that hurt the most.”

Chrisley posted the story from the Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida. Galanis was sentenced in September 2020 to more than 14 years in prison for two fraud schemes, including one that defrauded a Native American tribe and investors of tens of millions of dollars. He was also ordered to forfeit about $80 million and pay an equal amount in restitution. The article notes that Galanis had previously been described as “Porn’s New King” and was an associate of Hunter Biden, who testified about him during the impeachment inquiry into former President Joe Biden in March 2024.

Chrisley has described Galanis as her “protector,” “fiercest fighter” and “most loyal person.”
