Colts explore trade options for running back Jonathan Taylor

The Indianapolis Colts have indicated they are willing to trade running back Jonathan Taylor, with several teams reportedly showing interest.

The Indianapolis Colts have opened discussions about trading running back Jonathan Taylor, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport and ESPN reporter Adam Schefter. Sources say teams including the Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks have expressed interest.

The move follows recent roster changes by Indianapolis, which sent guard Quenton Nelson to Seattle and defensive lineman DeForest Buckner to San Francisco, and comes as the team sits 2-5 after firing general manager Chris Ballard following a Week 6 loss.

Taylor, a three-time Pro Bowler who has recorded 587 rushing yards and eight touchdowns this season, is under a two-year, $44 million extension signed in August and remains under contract through 2028. At $22 million per year, he ranks among the highest-paid running backs in the league.

While the organization previously preferred to retain Taylor as part of its rebuild, the front office is now actively considering offers as the trade deadline approaches.
